  • Not That I Smoke it or Anything...

But this is the kind of ridiculousness that brought about the illegalization of marijuana. Your prejudices are born from this rhetoric. You racist.

"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others."

"...the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races."

"Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death."

"Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."

"Marihuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing"

"You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother."

"Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind."

This was from a man at the head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics in the early 1900's. But alcohol was so bad they made an amendment to the constitution about it.

What does THAT tell you about our country's priorities?

  • Governor Bill Richardson,

I was born and raised in New Mexico and my family is from New Mexico; just so you know this is not a random person without concern for the state and just concerned about politics. I love my home state. That brings me to my point.

In light of recent news, I must say that I am rather disappointed in your decision to accept campaign contributions from a California company and then give them a state contract. Without further information I cannot be accusatory, but your withdrawal from the cabinet position makes the whole situation look mighty shifty.

That our president elect had faith in you when you are (being accused of) taking such actions that are not only politically but morally reprehensible causes me to look back questionably on any support I was thinking of giving you in your bid for presidency.

Should these accusations be false and your name cleared, I will be happy for you. As it stands, without further evidence of your innocence, I hope you get punished to the full extent of the law. Your state's economy and your state's job market should be your top concern, NOT campaign contributions.

  • Poop and Love?

    Two things:

    1. To all of you out there, including influential bloggers, shut the fuck up about it already. If it isn't a big deal, then why do you feel the need to explain yourselves through mass messages and stupid entries poking at each other? It's dumb, it's high school, and get the fuck over yourselves.

    2. I didn't pass, and I'm back down to a BA. But it's kind of a... BA with special privileges. Anyway. I think this marks the point where I'm officially fuckin' done.

  • Wish Me Luck.

In a few hours that will surely seem like an eternity, I have juries to determine whether or not I stay in the BFA Technical Theatre program.

    I'm really, really nervous.

    Wish me luck.
